Solar PV Project Manager - Bennett & Game Recruitment : Job Details

Solar PV Project Manager required for our client design, build, and operate Solar Photovoltaic (PV) and Wind Turbine renewable energy systems throughout the United Kingdom. Current projects are in Dorset, Birmingham, Bristol and Scotland.

Founded in 2010, their in-house team of engineers, planners and project managers provide a complete turnkey solution for landowners, SMEs and large corporates, incorporating every aspect of the project development process and ensuring they are always one step ahead.

Solar PV Project Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the execution of solar photovoltaic projects from initiation to completion. This includes overseeing project planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning to ensure successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.

Solar PV Project Manager Position Overview

• Project management of the design, construction, and installation for solar PV sites.
• Management project Health and Safety, including writing risk assessments and method statements.
• Management of design engineers and subcontractors.
• Project design, estimation / budgeting and procurement.
• Providing technical input for feasibility stage projects.
• Liaising with clients, DNOs, suppliers and consultants.
• Conducting site visits to assess suitability for solar installations.
• Ensuring a collaborative relationship with clients.
• Flexibility to travel throughout the UK with the odd stay away when needed.

Solar PV Project Manager Position Requirements

• Renewable energy industry knowledge and experience, with a particular focus on commercial solar PV design, installation and operation. (Desirable)
• Strong commitment to health and safety, and knowledge of H&S legislation as applicable to construction projects.
• Knowledge and understanding of solar project finances.
• Methodical, accurate and process focused approach.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proficiency with Excel.
• Working knowledge of 2D AutoCAD.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, SMSTS, working at height. (Desirable)
• Experience using ArcGIS (Desirable)
• Knowledge of Autodesk Civil3D. (Desirable)

Solar PV Project Manager Position Remuneration

• £28,000 - £45,000 DOE
• Vehicle plus fuel card when traveling to site
• Working hours 9:00 - 5:00 Mon - Fri
• Onsite parking

• 22 days holiday plus bank
