Software Implementation Consultant

£45-55,000 plus Car / CA and benefits

West Midlands (hybrid ave.)

As a Software Implementation Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the development and implementation of our software products to customers requirements. Ideally you will have worked with software within finance, accounting, payroll, warehousing, distribution, human resources, or similar field.

We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record and a passion for driving excellence in software implementation. To thrive in this role, you should possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field and/or extensive experience in software product implementation, project management, or related roles within the software industry.

You will be someone who wants to be out working with customers and visiting their sites rather than living behind a TEAMS screen! Your strong technical acumen will be crucial, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of software development methodologies and technologies. Equally important are exceptional leadership and communication skills, enabling you to effectively engage with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks, and maintain efficiency under pressure is a key attribute we are looking for in the ideal candidate. Proficiency in software project management tools and methodologies is preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Software Implementation Consultant:

  • Take ownership of the end-to-end software product implementation process, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, and quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, understanding their needs, and aligning product features to meet requirements.
  • Lead and motivate a team of specialists, providing guidance, support, and resolving challenges to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Leverage your technical expertise to understand software products thoroughly, troubleshoot issues, and offer solutions to clients.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, status reports, and documentation to track progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Assist with training sessions for clients on software functionalities, offering ongoing support and guidance post-implementation
  • use project mgt tools such as clickup, MS project, MS Team Foundation Server
  • basic understanding of databases and development technologies
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end software product implementation process, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, cost and quality standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement, refine implementation methodologies, and contribute to the enhancement of product features based on client feedback.

The Individual

  • Proven experience in software product implementation, project management, or a related role within the software industry.
  • Strong technical background with a deep understanding of software development methodologies and technologies.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively interact with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks, and work efficiently under pressure.

Hours of Work are 37.5 Monday to Friday. 33 days of annual leave, plus other benefits, including free parking. Early finish and work from home on a Friday
