Software Developer

Portsmouth - 3 days in office

up to £55 per hour Inside IR35

One of the leading global pioneer in the aerospace industry is actively looking for a "Java Full Stack Software Developer" in Portsmouth. They are operating in the commercial aircraft, helicopters, defence, and space sectors.

You'll play a key role in a cutting-edge satellite mission, developing scalable, distributed systems in a secure, microservice-based architecture. UML/SysML modelling, agile workflows, and CI/CD delivery are central to the programme's success.

Requirement:

• Java Core (8+), Spring Boot, Hibernate
• RESTful Web Services, Microservices
• UML/SysML (ideally Enterprise Architect)
• Agile/Scrum methodology, CI/CD practices
• GIT, Jira, and distributed systems experience
• Aerospace, defence, or high-assurance systems background (highly preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality, secure code in Java (8+) using Spring Boot and REST APIs
• Participate in UML-based design and architecture
• Implement microservices for satellite management systems
• Contribute to automated testing, sprint planning, and continuous delivery
