About the Role:

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Site Manager with a strong background in building projects to join their project team in the Greater Dublin region. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations and ensuring all work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality. This role would suit a professional with expertise in all facets of construction.

Reporting to: Project Manager / Contracts Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all site activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality.

  • Foster and maintain professional relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.

  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols and quality standards.

  • Accurately and promptly report on project progress to your line manager.

  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring their work is completed to the required standard with minimal rework.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute works in line with project schedules and contract documents.

  • Collaborate effectively with the construction management team, subcontractors, and supply chain.

  • Resource and schedule work in accordance with the project construction programme.

  • Work closely with the project Quantity Surveyor to provide timely advice on any potential issues.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.

  • Demonstrated and extensive building experience.

  • A proven track record of successfully delivering projects from start to finish.

  • Experience in both Shell & Core and Fit-Out projects is preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and project execution.

  • Proficiency in common computer software, including MS Office and project scheduling tools.

  • Familiarity with Common Data Environments (CDE) like Procore is desirable.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • A self-starter with sound judgment and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

  • Strong management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a workforce.

  • A commercially aware individual who is knowledgeable about the market and competitors.
