Site Manager - £20m Industrial Construction Project

Are you an experienced and proactive Site Manager with a strong background in industrial construction? We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to oversee a new £20m industrial project in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading national main contractor and play a pivotal role in a flagship development.
The Company
Our client is a prominent national main contractor with an annual turnover exceeding £500m. They specialise in delivering a diverse range of projects, from large-scale residential developments to major industrial and commercial schemes up to £200m. The Role
As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all site activities for the £20m industrial build. You will be the key on-site presence, ensuring the project runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently, and in line with the project program.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all on-site operations, including labour, materials, and plant.
Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and direct labour.
Ensure strict adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Implement and enforce all health, safety, and environmental policies on site.
Conduct regular site inspections and toolbox talks.
Liaise with the Project Manager, client, and design team to resolve any on-site issues.
Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
The Ideal Candidate
Proven experience as a Site Manager on industrial or commercial new-build projects.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
Relevant construction qualification (e.g., HNC/HND).
SMSTS, CSCS Black/Gold Card, and First Aid at Work certification.
Based in or able to commute to the Birmingham area.
Remuneration
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
Car: Company car or car allowance
Bonus: Performance-related bonus scheme
