Site Leader

Are you a confident leader with strong transport and people management experience? We’re looking for a Site Leader to take charge of day-to-day operations at our Dartford site, ensuring safety, compliance, and excellent customer service are always at the heart of what we do.

As Site Leader, you'll manage a local team of drivers and admin staff, making sure daily deliveries of cylinder gas are executed safely, efficiently, and on time. This is a hands-on, rewarding leadership role where no two days are the same – perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, service-led environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading, coaching, and motivating a team of drivers and administrative staff
• Managing vehicle utilisation and driver schedules to maximise efficiency
• Ensuring full compliance with transport and HSE legislation (including CPC, RTD/WTD, tachographs)
• Promoting a “right first time” and safety-first culture across the site
• Conducting performance reviews, supporting staff development and training
• Overseeing stock, cylinder reconciliation, cash control and site security
• Acting as an emergency key holder and attending callouts as required

What You’ll Bring:

• Management CPC is essential
• Proven leadership/people management experience
• Strong understanding of transport regulations and driver compliance
• Experience in a service-led or logistics environment (3+ years preferred)
• Knowledge of employment legislation and a solid grasp of HSE principles
• Financial awareness and IT literacy
• ADR and safety qualifications (IOSH/NEBOSH) – desirable but not essential
• A passion for continuous improvement and customer excellence
