Job Title: Site Engineer - Highways Infrastructure Project

Location: East Midlands

Company Overview: We are currently working with a leading civil engineering contractor company who are committed to delivering excellence throughout their national projects. They are currently embarking on a large-scale highways infrastructure project in Lincolnshire, and we're seeking a talented Site Engineer to join their team.

Position Overview: As a Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the execution and management of our highways infrastructure project in Lincolnshire. Working closely with the project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities meet design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities on site, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
  • Conduct setting out, site surveys, measurements, and inspections to verify compliance with design drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to site personnel, resolving engineering issues as they arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress reports, and quality assurance documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of progress reports and contribute to project meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working on highways or civil engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in construction methods, materials, and technical standards related to highways infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to construction sites.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competency in relevant software tools such as AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software.
