Showroom Sales Assistant - Interior Furnishing Fabrics - The Design and Interiors Recruitment Company : Job Details

A well-established supplier of interior design fabrics is seeking a showroom assistant to join their team. The company has been trading for many years and is a favourite of interior designers. The company has one main showroom in Chelsea and their collections are distributed by suppliers internationally. This is a busy and varied role and would suit someone who has a strong interest and enthusiasm for interior design and fabrics / textiles. Daily duties include:

First point of contact with clients via telephone, email and in person in the showroom

Present the fabric / textile collections and cross-sell, understanding the interior designers / client’s requirements.

Assist interior designers with putting together inspiring fabric colour schemes

Maintaining the showroom aesthetic and display, including:

Keeping shelves refreshed and updated with new fabric sample lengths as and when required. Ensuring that display fabrics are returned to the display correctly and are well presented

Organising the return of samples

Keeping the cutting folders tidy

Processing the incoming fabric stock orders in a timely and efficient manner

Checking payments in and processing proformas

Recording details of showroom visitors (Interior design professionals) on the CRM system

Quality Control - liaising between warehouse staff and client regarding their order post invoice being raised.

Check new trade applications and seek advice from management regarding their approval

Assisting at events as directed

Assisting the manager in researching content for Instagram/contributing ideas.

This is a full time, permanent role. 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday. Salary from £31,000 - £35,000. Plus monthly team bonus based on sales. Really nice friendly team and a beautiful fabric showroom!
