Shipping Coordinator – Global Logistics & Supply Chain

Location: WatfordHours: Full-time, Monday to FridaySalary: £28,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience)Start Date: ASAP

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Monitor Purchase Order schedules and proactively follow up with suppliers to ensure timely bookings.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, 3PL partners, and suppliers to manage dispatch, shipment, and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain and update Infor Nexus and ERP systems to ensure real-time logistics visibility.
  • Confirm shipping schedules and ensure cargo meets cut-off times.
  • Track shipments and provide regular updates to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Verify and approve import documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading) for customs compliance.
  • Liaise with customs agents to resolve clearance issues and avoid delays.
  • Accurately input inbound shipment data into the ERP system.
  • Monitor shipping costs and identify opportunities for savings.
  • Maintain detailed shipment records for audits and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot shipping discrepancies and resolve issues with forwarders.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • A degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
  • Solid understanding of import/export documentation, INCOTERMS, and customs processes.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and logistics platforms (Infor Nexus experience is a plus).
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF statements; Power Query is a bonus).
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and juggle multiple priorities with ease.
