Description
- Operate and maintain plant machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve operational efficiency.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report issues to supervisors.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Monitor plant performance and suggest process improvements where applicable.
Profile
- Qualified to ONC level / NVQ (or equivalent) in an appropriate Engineering/ process discipline.
- Preferably a hands-on operator/ engineer with good experience gained in the Energy from Waste, Biomass, Power Station, Steam boilers, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Marine industries
- Sound understanding of process flow
- Experience of monitoring via SCADA
- Effective worker, with a 'can do' attitude
- Good numeracy skills, including the ability to interpret basic spreadsheets
- Appropriate IT skills (confident use of Word, Excel etc.)
- Good knowledge of Incineration and Power Generation or similar industry

- Working 4on4off, repeat 7 times and off 18 days
