About Us

We are an established family run Mechanical business based in the Reading area, offering Plumbing and Heating installation and maintenance to our customer base.

We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service to our Clients, which include local authorities, a variety of local schools and Reading University amongst many others. Due to the success and expansion of the servicing/reactive maintenance side of the business, we are looking for an experienced and competent Administrator to join our team.

Hours of Work.

40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm

Your Skills:

  • Able to problem solve and work on your own initiative.
  • Proven experience in office administration.
  • Strong Microsoft Office knowledge (PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc)
  • Flexible approach
  • Hard working, reliable and Customer focussed
  • Excellent communication skills

Duties:

- Manage Engineer appointments using dedicated software (JobLogic). full training will be provided

- Liaise with tenants/homeowners to book service appointments

- Check Engineer Job Reports and follow up on any defects noted. Price any parts required and submit quotation to Customer. This will entail close liaison with the engineers to find out labour and any specialist tools or equipment required to carry out repair.

- Manage database and diarise service appointments. Pro-actively provide quotes to Customers for their up-coming service.

- Ensure all reactive call out visits are costed and job reports are submitted to Finance to invoice.

- Liaise with specialist sub-contractors to arrange site visits to carry out building repairs (drainage, roofing etc)

- Follow up on expired Quotations to check if the Customer wishes to proceed with the work.

- Promote our range of services to new Customers. Post news stories on LinkedIn - promoting new installs. Create content for website - News stories, Case Studies etc. Liaise with Engineers to provide before/after photos and obtain brief overview of the installation.

- To manage database and diarise calibration of Press Tools and Gas Analysers. Making sure all tools are serviced by the date of their next service.

- To liaise with Merchants to request costs for parts and equipment. Building strong relationships with our local merchants is key to success.
