Service & Maintenance Technician - Hertfordshire County Council : Job Details

We are actively recruiting for a Service and Maintenance Technician within our Service and Maintenance Team.The post holder will be required to service, maintain, and repair a wide range of daily living aids, non-stock items and medical equipment both in client homes and in the Service and Maintenance workshop based at Mundells, WGC.

The following criteria must be met for an interview to take place.

Technical, skills and qualifications needed for the role include:• Proven mechanical repair background• Extensive experience of health and social equipment including sensory• Have an understanding of health and safety legislation including MHRA and LOLER requirements• Good customer service skills, preferably with experience of dealing with old and vulnerablemembers of the public• Empathetic and understanding of needs of elderly and or vulnerable clients• Be able to effectively communicate with Occupational Therapists and other Health Careprofessionals• Good verbal and written communication skills• This role will involve lifting equipment upstairs.• Eye for detail• Full driving licence• DBS check• This position requires that the post holder be available to cover our 'Out of Hours Service’ over a 7-day duty rota including evenings and weekends.
