Operational Technology (OT) refers to the suite of systems and assets which are critical to the success of Anglian Water's industrial operations. It is recognised that OT systems and the data they provide are mission-critical in enabling us to bring social and environmental prosperity to our customers and region as well as achieve our regulatory ODI's.

We are looking for a Service Line Manager who will be ultimately accountable for the strategic stewardship, continuous development and 24/7 operations of the Enterprise SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) platform, including Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) and services provided by the Service Line and external partners. You'll achieve this through directing highly skilled and experienced digital professionals from across Engineering, Cyber Security and Architecture to deliver a diverse portfolio of business-critical services to our colleagues that exceed customer expectations. In addition, the SLM will be responsible for the assurance that products and services meet regulatory requirements, such as Network and Information Systems (NIS), and that suppliers are meeting their contractual-performance requirements.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate strong transformational and people leadership skills to enable the effective communication of organisational vision, goals and strategic plans and roadmaps. Through cultivating relationships, you'll lead and facilitate sessions with senior leaders to collate and translate future requirements, understanding dependencies across the product suite and any architectural implications when planning future development. The SLM will consistently demonstrate a blend of strong leadership skills coupled with broad technical knowledge across a range of highly specialised areas; enabling them to coordinate technical, operational and strategic discussions in order to drive operational excellence at both the tactical and strategic level.

What will you be doing:?

Through collaboration and continuous review with the OT Leadership Community, the role-holder will bring their experience and expertise in managing and running enterprise SCADA and Historian platforms to form the strategic direction for OT, ensuring these factors feed into the Service Line strategy, roadmap and AMP focused investment plans, for which they are ultimately responsible.

The role needs to have a good understanding of IT/OT convergence and business operations as well as be responsible for the management of the commercial and financial models required to run and enhance the Service Line and products. In addition, the SLM is as a key influencer and decision maker covering a wide variety of senior stakeholders across the organisation, capital delivery partners and the broader Water Industry including, industry user groups and forums.

The Service Line Manager will coordinate and align the delivery of product change and enhancements with other delivery routes within OT and IT. Changes often are dependent on others to succeed, so excellent understanding and management of internal and external dependencies is vital - to support this, you'll be responsible for the management of frameworks of applications for which the service line manager is responsible. ??

What does it take to be Service Line Manager

  • Degree or equivalent

  • Experience of Platform & Product ownership

  • In-depth knowledge of OT processes and principles

  • Previous experience leading Enterprise SCADA Platforms & Historian Systems

  • Proven track record in delivering scalable and robust products?
