Are you a skilled Automatic Door Engineer looking for more variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work across multiple technologies and manufacturers?

A well-established specialist engineering firm is seeking a Service Engineer to join their high-performing team. This is a field-based role covering the Greater London area, focused on the installation, service, and maintenance of automatic and industrial door systems.

You’ll be the face of the business for clients on-site - delivering expert solutions with professionalism, technical skill, and a customer-first attitude.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Installing, servicing, and maintaining automatic and industrial doors to industry standards.
• Diagnosing faults and recommending solutions clearly and confidently.
• Working across a wide range of manufacturers, both electronic and mechanical.
• Accurately documenting all work using mobile job management systems (e.g., iPad).
• Delivering exceptional service and maintaining professional conduct on every site.
• Taking part in a shared on-call rota and occasional overtime.

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• EN16005 or BS7036 qualification.
• Valid CSCS card.
• IT literate - comfortable with Excel, Outlook, and client-facing portals.
• Confident using a tablet to manage work orders and reports.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities.
• Self-driven, adaptable, and committed to high standards.
• Excellent communication skills - able to liaise confidently with both customers and team members.
