Service Engineer - Pontem Group Ltd : Job Details

The companyA leading multi-disciplinary engineering group with an annual turnover of over £100 million, who offer specialised electrical solutions to many big-name clients across the UK. After securing several long-term contracts with key customers, the company is seeking a Service Engineer to join their team to provide ongoing support at their key client sites across the Midlands.

The roleNow looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their dedicated service team to play a pivotal role within their compressor division, supporting key blue-chip customers across the midlands.

You will take responsibility for:

• To carry out maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment such as generators, compressors, pumps, etc.
• Conducting mechanical and electrical fault-finding
• Carry out installation and commissioning of varied machinery and equipment.
• Completing reports, risk assessments and other documentation for all work undertaken

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• Must possess an NVQ/C&G/HNC in mechanical or electrical engineering or similar discipline.
• Proficiency in electrical and mechanical fault-finding and diagnostics.
• Experience of installing and maintaining compressors, generators, pumps, dryers, and other associated plant and pumping equipment.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• Valid UK Driving license

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• Previous experience of working within the compressed air industry or similar would be advantageous.
• Experience of working with steel/aluminium pipework
