Location: Remote (Canada preferred, but open to international candidates with proven C2+ English proficiency)

Salary Range: 4500 to 5500 USD/month, with benefits after a successful development period

Work Schedule: Full-time Contractor (40+ hrs/week) with flexible hours and 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (ADT/AST) core overlap.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an SEO Strategy & Technical Lead to build and refine our SEO operations. This role combines strategic leadership and technical SEO execution. You will shape SEO frameworks, mentor team members, and directly manage high-priority accounts. As the team grows, the focus will shift toward leadership, scalable processes, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Leadership (50%):

• Set the SEO strategy across ~50 client accounts with direct oversight of 1–2 high-priority accounts.
• Lead weekly strategy sessions, guiding SEO specialists and content teams.
• Audit 6–8 accounts per month for opportunities and performance improvements.
• Build and maintain SOPs for keyword research, technical audits, and reporting.

Technical SEO Execution (35%):

• Manage 1–2 key accounts end-to-end: audits, roadmap creation, optimization, and reporting.
• Execute targeted technical SEO projects: Core Web Vitals, structured data, and analytics setup.
• Develop standardized dashboards that focus on ROI rather than vanity metrics.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement (15%):

• Evaluate and test new SEO tools, sharing actionable insights with the team.
• Stay ahead of algorithm updates and industry shifts.
• Integrate AI and automation to increase efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications:

• Proven SEO track record with measurable results (agency or multi-client experience preferred).
• Strong technical SEO expertise: audits, structured data, analytics, Core Web Vitals.
• Proficiency in GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, and WordPress.
• Experience mentoring and leading team members with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to create scalable processes and documentation.
• Data-driven mindset with a passion for experimentation and continuous improvement.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience in trades/home services industries.
• Familiarity with AI-driven SEO tools and automation.
• Previous experience scaling SEO operations from 50 to 100+ accounts.
