Interview date: 18th and 19th April  Salary: £26,832 - £28,548 depending on experience. Please note, the salary advertised is inclusive of an outer London weighting allowance of £3,315 per annum. Reporting directly to the Volunteering, Community and Children and Young People (CYP) Manager, you’ll be part of an exciting chapter as we create new opportunities for the public to connect with the beauty, nature, and history of this remarkable place. This is a key position in the team with lots of scope for innovative working.  Your working hours will be spread over Monday to Friday in agreement with your team leader. Typically, the working hours are 9am-5pm, with occasional earlier or later shifts as required. As part of your role, you’ll take turns as Duty Manager on a rotational basis, which may include working on weekends and bank holidays. Time off in Lieu (TOIL) will be provided for any additional hours worked.

What you'll be doing You’ll use your experience in community engagement and partnership working to develop relations with organisations and community groups we already work with, and build connections with new and diverse audiences and communities to promote Morden Hall Park as a place where everyone feels welcome. You'll take the lead on volunteer management, ensuring our team leaders make their volunteers feel engaged, supported, and appreciated throughout their  journey with us, whether they contribute for a day or for years to come.  You’ll also work to increase volunteer support across the teams. Who we're looking for
  • Understanding and good practice of volunteer management. 
  • Understanding of good practice in community engagement and involvement, as well as broader participation and partnership working.
  • Practical and successful experience of developing and implementing new products and approaches to volunteers.
  • Organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to coach and support those managing, supervising and working alongside volunteers and community partners. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate at various levels. 
  • A pro-active approach.
