You will lead a growing UI design function within the UX & Digital Design team where we help Government and Business customers get the most out of our geospatial data.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated and creative individual to join a friendly team of like-minded people, product owners, digital designers, and the content team to deliver a diverse range of OS products across government and business.

About the role

We're seeking an UI designer who has experience creating and managing digital design systems, is comfortable designing branded digital experiences from web sites, to web apps, to SAS dashboards. You will guide the UI Design function though the challenge of designing accessible, cross-platform customer-focused digital products in a technically-minded organisation.

As a Senior UI Designer, you will be responsible for the consistency and quality of all User Interface design across our websites, customer-facing data ordering and fulfilment systems, and web-based mapping tools built for our Government and Business customers. The role will also require you to rapidly iterate designs based on feedback to produce production ready finished products into product development teams so you will be experienced in managing design processes end to end within an Agile / Sprint development process.

We are a blended UX/UI team. Each of us has different specialisms which cover the whole UX and Product design process from research, conception, testing, interaction design, and delivery to development teams. Show us your experience working with user experience researchers and UX techniques.

You'll be joining a team that combines UX and UI design disciplines into a single team to offer a unified design offering to the organisation. You will be influential to new working practices alongside our Senior UX Designer and UX Practice Lead.
