Job Description :

The starting salary for this position is £27,897 per annum based on a 36 hour working week.

We are excited to be hiring a new Senior Team Administrator to join our exemplary business support service. This varied and interesting role can be based in our Reigate or Woking office and provides administrative support to the fostering service. The role is offered on a hybrid-working basis with the expectation that you will be in the office at least two days a week.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract/secondment opportunity.

About the TeamThe Children, Families and Learning directorate provides a range of highly specialist services to vulnerable children and young people.

This role is based within our business support service, which underpins the work of the frontline practitioners. This role will work with the Fostering Service, supporting the recruitment and retention of Foster Carers in Surrey.

About the Role

As a Senior Team Administrator you will work in a highly confidential environment, where your role will be to process checks for foster carer applications, monitor mailboxes, run reports, maintain SharePoint sites, and update spreadsheets and databases. You will also provide support when required to foster carer panels and coach/mentor more junior staff in the team.

Shortlisting CriteriaTo be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:

  • Evidence of efficient and accurate note taking skills using a laptop
  • A solid background in administration, and experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills both written and oral.
  • Confident, organised, and able to implement a proactive approach to your work
  • Excellent IT skills and proficient in using Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
