Senior Strategic Buyer – East MidlandsChase & Holland have today been engaged by an exceptional East Midlands based business, and are excited to be partnering the business to recruit a Senior Strategic Buyer into the growing and developing team.This role is coming about owing to growth and an increase in R&D leading to some exciting plans for the future. The business is extremely well regarded as a leader in it's chosen field, and is a long and very well estblished name.As the Senior Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for:

• Working with existing suppliers and new suppliers to both increease the efficiency of the existing supplier based while trying to onboard new suppliers to drive positive development. 
• Identifying areas for strategic improvment in the existing supply chain and suggest well founded planns for change 
• Initiating and managing tendering
• Developing sourcing strategies and analysing spends
• Both inter and intra-datmental communication and stakeholder management
• Working pro-actively to find and identify solutions
• Monitoring supplier performance
• Working and leading projects
• Collecting data as required and/or performing data analysis

Skills & Experience you require:

• Ability to demonstrate experience within a similar role
• Strategic supplier identification and development
• Intermediate level of Excel knowledge
• Previous knowledge of ERP systems
• Ability to work with large amounts of complex data
• Strong negotiations skills
• Experience in organising and managing competitive tenders
