Senior Sales Executive - Upgrade Recruitment Ltd : Job Details

A highly successful events company based in London is now looking for a new Senior Sales Executive to join an international Sales team! You’ll work closely with a supportive Sales Director on a flagship exhibition event, driving new business, and managing a successful sales team. This is a permanent position paying a base salary of up to £45,000 per year plus commission and benefits, as well as excellent further opportunities for international travel and career development within the business.

This is a great role for a successful sales manager with a strong track record of success and ideally experience or an interest in design. The ideal candidate may have worked in advertising or media sales and potentially have some exposure or an interest in design. You’ll play a key role in the business's sales strategy for a flagship international event with extensive opportunities for international travel. Some foreign language ability – such as French, Italian, Spanish, or Mandarin – would be ideal but not essential.

As the Senior Sales Executive, you will:

• Drive consultative sales (phone and face-to-face) with existing, lapsed, and new clients.
• Maintain a high-volume sales pipeline through proactive calls and Salesforce activity.
• Build strong relationships, deliver excellent service, and maximise revenue, including international travel when needed.
• Identify and pursue new growth opportunities to expand sales, offerings, and services.
• Provide product feedback and highlight conversion barriers to enhance customer experience.
• Stay ahead with market and product knowledge; represent the brand at trade shows and industry events.
• Collaborate with international colleagues to support global client relationships.
• Deliver accurate weekly and monthly sales forecasts.

As the Senior Sales Executive, you should have:

• A consultative, solutions-focused approach with the ability to create tailored, commercially viable propositions for clients of all sizes.
• Proven experience in exhibition sales (essential).
• A strong track record in sales success and sales management.
• High self-motivation, proactivity, and a collaborative mindset to deliver the best outcomes for customers.
• Genuine curiosity about the design industry and the drive to build deep sector expertise.
• Additional language skills (Mandarin, French, German, Italian, or Spanish) would be a strong advantage.

In return, you will receive a base salary of up to £45,000 per year plus commission and benefits, which can be discussed on application. You’ll also have the ability for international travel for work as well as further career development both within the business and within the industry.
