What you’ll be doing

  • Acting as a keyworker, developing and reviewing care and education plans tailored to each child’s needs
  • Supporting your team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
  • Building strong and genuine relationships with children, young people, and their families
  • Encouraging inclusion, wellbeing, and opportunities for growth through play, learning, and community life
  • Promoting our Christian ethos in all aspects of your work, modelling compassion, empathy, and respect
  • Stepping up to lead and guide the team, supporting recruitment, training, and development where required

What you’ll bringYou’ll have skills and experience in children’s care or education, with an ability to restore and strengthen relationships through a reflective, person-centred approach. Strong communication, planning, and IT skills will help you manage reports, plans, and records with confidence. Knowledge of attachment-informed practice or counselling skills would be an advantage, but above all, you’ll bring patience, positivity, and a genuine passion for helping children and young people reach their full potential. A full manual driving licence is essential, and you’ll also need to be registered with the SSSC and a member of the PVG Scheme.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
