Senior Quantity Surveyor - Southampton - Finlay Jude Associates Limited : Job Details

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for your next role? Finlay Jude Associates are working with a leading company who specialise in providing solutions across the water, and wastewater industry. Our client is looking to strengthen their Commercial team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Southampton with hybrid working available. You will be reporting directly to the Commercial Manager. The role will be contracted to 12 Months. The Senior Quantity Surveyor Job:

• Quantity surveying duties in respect of managing projects and work packages
• Liaise with design, construction and supply chain teams to capture, analyse and control cost
• Collaborative work with the clients to ensure business requirements are met
• Manage the main NEC form of contract ensuring contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised as necessary 
• Preparation and issue of subcontract documentation 
• Manage the preparation and agreement of applications for payment 
• The preparation of project cost & value reports, budgets and forecasts 
• Assist in the management and development of junior commercial staff
• Ensure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking / conferences / associations / groups, to stay current on industry changes
• Undertake other duties, training and hours of work as there may be reasonably required. Which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role
• Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality

  The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will have: Essential

• Degree or equivalent
• Working towards or have chartered membership of a recognised institution
• Experience in utilities/civil engineering/MEICA sectors, non-infrastructure water would be advantageous
• NEC3 Experience 

Desirable

• Experience of managing and developing an individual or small team
