Senior Quantity Surveyor - Kier Group : Job Details

Kier Construction have a great opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Northern Region team based in Leeds

Location: Leeds 

Contract: Full Time, Permanent 

What will you be responsible for?

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be a key part of the commercial team working on projects that can range in value from £10M - £80M across various sectors. 

Your day to day will include:

• Advising on financial feasibility of projects at early stages
• Organising the division of projects into component work packages for procurement.
• Assessing returns from sub-contractors and awarding work packages.
• Negotiating with sub-contractor supply chain to achieve best value.
• Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports)

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor  is great for you if you can demonstrate: 

• Experience working on large 2 stage bids
• Expert Knowledge of NEC and JCT conditions
• Prior experience in acting as commercial  lead on high value construction projects
• Knowledge of procurement and sub contractor management
• Ability to create in depth commercial reports
