Description
As the Senior Quality Engineer you will be tasked with the following;
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes to meet industry standards and regulations.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action plans for product or process issues.
- Drive continuous improvement activities to to reduce customer complaints, drive product quality, and develop production process.
- Develop and maintain the companies ISO accreditation's, managing their ISO9001 accreditation's.
- Liaising will all levels of the production process and with external customers to ensure development actions are in place and maintained.
- Use methodologies such as 8D, 5Y, Ishikawa, Kaizen, Root cause analysis to solve complex problems and develop action plans.
- Ensure compliance with customer and internal quality requirements.
- Conduct audits and inspections to maintain quality standards.
- Be an ongoing presence on the shop floor working closely with production to run investigations.
- Prepare and present quality reports to stakeholders and management.
- Support new product development by defining quality standards and specifications.
- Manage supplier quality performance and work on resolving quality-related concerns.
Profile
A successful Senior Quality Engineer should have:
- Strong knowledge of quality standards and methodologies, such as ISO 9001 or equivalent.
- Lead Auditor accreditation for ISO 9001
- HNC/HND in a relevant field.
- Green Belt Six Sigma or equivalent.
- Experience in quality assurance within the industrial or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and ensuring compliance.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
