Senior QC Analyst – Biotechnology

Location: Bristol area (UK)Salary:?£36,000 – £45,000 per annum plus benefits

The Bristol R&D hub is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge therapeutic solutions, supported by a collaborative and innovation-driven laboratory environment. The Role

As a Senior QC Analyst, you’ll take ownership of quality control processes for advanced biological products. You will:

• Conduct routine and non-routine QC testing (e.g., HPLC, qPCR, cell culture, ELISA, flow cytometry)
• Develop, validate, and optimise analytical methods tailored to gene and cell therapy products
• Interpret and verify analytical datasets with precision and ALCOA compliance
• Lead investigations into OOS/OOT results and implement CAPA
• Mentor junior analysts and uphold strict GMP, SOP, and data-integrity standards
• Participate in cross-functional method transfers and project reviews

About You

• Degree (BSc/MSc) in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or similar
• 4–6 years’ QC experience in a GMP-regulated lab, ideally within biotech/pharma
• Strong hands-on experience in chromatographic, molecular, or cell-based analytical techniques
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
• Self-motivated, detailed-oriented, and team-centric approach
