The Greater London Authority are looking to recruit a Senior Project Officer on an interim 6-month contract. This is a pivotal role designed to ensure the effective coordination and consistent implementation of the EDI (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion) strategy at the directorate level.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Champion the Inclusion Programme within the organisation, ensuring its visibility and importance.
- Build and maintain excellent working relationships with Inclusion Programme leads, the EDI Team, and the EDI Directorate Lead.
- Contribute to the preparation, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of materials to keep the Inclusion Programme on track.
- Cascade key information related to the Inclusion Programme to the assigned directorates.
- Provide project support to the EDI Directorate Lead and the Directorate Leadership Team to monitor and drive progress on EDI initiatives.
- Support the Directorate Leadership Team with directorate-level arrangements and governance on EDI, potentially supporting an EDI working group.
- Offer secretariat support for the EDI Working Group, including meeting minutes, diary management, and action updates.
- Collect, analyse, and report data to inform directorate strategies and actions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience working across departments or teams to coordinate activities.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
- Robust project management skills.
- A deep understanding of the benefits of a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture.
- Experience in data analysis and report generation is highly desirable.
