The Greater London Authority are seeking a Senior Project Officer to join their Resilience Unit on an interim 3-month basis. This role involves implementing and managing project management methodologies, developing risk and issue logs, and coordinating project delivery with various stakeholders.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Work closely with project leads to implement and monitor the delivery plan.
- Implement and manage project management methodologies to oversee multiple activities effectively.
- Develop risk and issue logs, and support business management, including budget tracking and financial reporting, to ensure the effective delivery of project objectives and expenditure.
- Coordinate project delivery with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, leading on the procurement of consultants and contractors as needed.
- Gather and analyse information to support evidence-based management, evaluation, and benefit tracking.
- Prepare reports for project leadership and governance structures.
- Establish and maintain internal working relationships and participate in cross-organisational projects to integrate work across the Authority.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven success in managing early-stage projects in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Project management experience, including the development of monitoring frameworks for effective delivery.
- Strong skills in analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data and research in a form understandable and usable by others.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies is desirable.
