Senior Project Manager - Tech Department

12 Months Fixed Term Contract (Mat Cover)

Based at our Head Office in Whyteleafe, Surrey (just 15 minutes outside of Croydon, easily commutable from London)

We’re on the lookout for an established, results-focused Project Manager with a real flair for leveraging positive stakeholder relationships across the business. It’s an exciting time of transformation at Ann Summers, with an ambitious roadmap in full swing being directed by AS Tech.

This role will lead a number of varied projects, owning all elements from end to end, including timelines and budgets. The perfect person for this opportunity will be detail-orientated, confident and tenacious whilst remaining personable and supportive.

Snapshot of the role…

  • Alongside the team you will transform the business through the delivery of our prioritised strategic roadmap of growth.
  • Support the achievement of our growth ambitions, company and department strategies.
  • Lead projects from the front throughout, working collaboratively with your Project Lead and Board-level Sponsor.
  • Demonstrate how we can deliver change exceptionally, becoming a recognised authority on project management.
  • Work within our evolving project management methodologies to ensure effective, flexible and successful delivery.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our practice of delivery to drive better outcomes, sooner, smoother and consistently.
  • Work within our simple governance framework to ensure our Board are clear on progress, key milestones and costs alongside sharing risks for proactive resolution / intervention.
  • Create exceptional quality living documentation of your project – such as the plan, RAID, RACI, R&Rs, financial reporting, project reporting and comms, etc.
  • Draw on the knowledge, skills and abilities of the subject matter experts and technical teams around you to inform your decisions. 
  • Execute the wrap up of launched projects, and through hypercare ensure we close down with grace and realise benefits.
  • Build strong, positive and productive relationships with colleagues across the whole of AS, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience as an established Project Manager, ideally within Retail, Hospitality or Leisure.
  • An exceptional written and verbal communicator, who can build persuasive arguments using technical and user-friendly language.
  • An amazing stakeholder manager and relationship builder, establishing productive internal and external relationships.
  • Highly organised with an ability to manage and prioritise workload to strict deadlines.
  • A person who cares about doing a great job and empower others with the quality of what they do.
  • An affinity with our brand and is an authentic ambassador of our people values.
