Senior Project Manager - Progressive : Job Details

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Senior Project Manager in Manchester, with a focus on rail, civils, and structures. This contract role is set within a dynamic and evolving sector, promising substantial career development potential over a 3-4 year project timeline. The ideal candidate will manage complex projects under NEC3/4 conditions, benefiting from a hybrid working arrangement and outside IR35 status.

• Lead the planning and implementation of project management strategies in rail infrastructure projects.
• Manage project deliverables in line with the project plan.
• Record and manage project issues and escalate where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and statutory provisions governing rail system safety.

• Rail: Extensive knowledge of rail systems and operations to efficiently manage related projects.
• Civils: Deep understanding of civil engineering practices essential for handling structural aspects of rail projects.
• Structures: Ability to oversee the construction or repair of railway structures, ensuring quality and safety.
• NEC3/4: Proficient in applying NEC contract suite standards to ensure project compliance and effective management.
• Project Management: Strong organizational skills to lead project teams towards achieving contractual deliverables.
