Senior Procurement Manager - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

I am currentlysupporting an innovative and established business in Trowbridge that aremaking waves in their service-based industry. Leading from the front, thisbusiness has won numerous awards such as top employer & inclusive employerin the UK, and is also achieving real change against their ESG goals.After somewhat of asoft 're-launch' of their Procurement function (splitting SRM and Procurementinto two teams), they are looking to recruit a Senior Procurement Manager. Thisis a really exciting time to be joining the business, where you will have autonomyto operate without bureaucracy and drive procurement best practices.In this role, you willbe expected to lead the procurement function by managing annual spend for goodsand services, creating and delivering company wide procurement strategy and linemanage a team of two Procurement Managers.What can you expect?

• Design and deliver procurement strategy by building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and influencing Director & C-suite level.
• Manage spend of c. £200m p.a, ensuring a cost effective approach is taken whilst mitigating supply chain risks
• Support the team to manage operational end-to-end procurement of goods and services
• Lead, mentor and coach the procurement team of 2 Procurement Managers
• Ensure all procurement and purchasing meets regulatory (FCA) and supply chain (ISO) compliance
• Creation / renewal of procurement policy

What skills do you need to have?

• Strong experience successfully creating and delivering procurement strategy
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor and manage staff
• Previous experience of having direct reports
• The ability to collaborate with suppliers to ensure commercial needs are met, with the ability to efficiently negotiate terms, pricing and contracts
• Acumen in senior stakeholder influencing skills from Director to C-Suite level
• MCIPS would be highly desirable for this vacancy, but experience will be necessary
• Knowledge of FCA regulations would also be desirable
