Senior Payroll Analyst

SRM are working with a leading company in Hatfield who are looking to add an experienced Senior Payroll Analyst to their payroll team. This role plays an integral part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all UK operations.
As subject matter expert, you will drive compliance, continuous improvement and deliver best in class employee experience.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end processing of complex payrolls, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local tax and employment regulations.
- Keeping up to date with legislative changes.
- Ensuring all company benefits are continuously monitored and correctly recorded.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and reduce risk.
- Leading on payroll audits and year-end activities including P60’s, P11D’s and HMRC submissions.
- Liaising and business partnering across the business (HR, Finance, Reward) and external providers to resolve payroll queries.
- Act as first point of contact for escalated payroll queries and issues, providing guidance and support to junior team members.
- Maintain and process payroll system reports responsible for legal patch testing and involving the Payroll Assistants.
- Prioritise and action daily/weekly tasks to meet SLA’s
- Assisting the global mobility team with overseas assignments.
What you’ll need
- Proven experience in a senior payroll role, ideally within a large or complex organisation.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation (knowledge of international payrolls is a plus).
- Experience with SAP payroll systems is a must.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and work collaboratively.
- CIPP qualification (or working towards) desirable.
