As a Senior Night Shift Care Worker, you’ll oversee the smooth running of our overnight care, ensuring that every resident feels safe, respected and well looked after. You’ll also provide guidance and supervision to night staff, ensuring the same high standards are maintained no matter the hour.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading a small team of Night Care Workers during your shift
• Ensuring a safe, secure and peaceful environment overnight
• Supporting individuals with dignity and compassion, including personal care and medication
• Responding calmly to emergencies and providing emotional support as needed
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all policies are followed
• Acting as a point of contact for on-call management and external professionals
• Supporting CrossReach’s Christian ethos, including prayer and reflection where appropriate

What you’ll bring:

• SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
• Confidence to lead others and make clear decisions under pressure
• A supportive approach to managing team performance and wellbeing
• Experience working nights in a care setting (or a readiness to adapt to it)
• Ability to work independently while staying connected to the wider team
• A calm, reassuring presence and a genuine commitment to person-centred care
• A Christian faith and willingness to reflect that in your work this is an occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
