Join our client's industry-leading team and help shape the future of sustainable building design!The Design Division is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the dynamic team in Birmingham. • Design and engineer mechanical building services for new and refurbished projects.
• Assist senior engineers in various design stages from feasibility to detailed plans.
• Collaborate with other team members in design meetings and project execution.
• Conduct surveys, design drawings, and specifications for projects.
• Ensure designs meet legal and safety requirements.
• Utilise building services software and CAD tools.
• Select and specify equipment and materials for cost-effective installations.
• Attend project meetings, workshops, and value engineering sessions.

Who we're looking for:

• Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience aligned with Incorporated Engineer requirements (IMeche or CIBSE).
• Proven ability to design mechanical systems from concept to detailed stages (BSRIA BG6 Stage 4A).
• Expertise in ventilation, cooling, water systems, heating, drainage, and HVAC control principles.
• Experience with Hevacomp / IES or similar software.
• AutoCAD proficiency for interpreting and generating drawings.
• Understanding of Building Regulations Part L compliance.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
