Senior Manager, eCommerce Site Merchandising
Location: Dublin, Ireland - Hybrid (3 days in-office)
Salary: €95-118K plus excellent benefits package
Travel requirement: Occasional travel to the US and Philippines, including a 2-3 week onboarding period in California
Key Requirements
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager of eCommerce Site Merchandising to lead international eCommerce initiatives for a global brand. This high-impact role requires a commercially driven leader who can translate shopper insights into innovative merchandising strategies tailored to local markets. You will be central to delivering a seamless, engaging, and conversion-focused user experience across international websites.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 10+ years’ experience in eCommerce and Retail, with a proven track record of driving site performance and customer engagement
- A deep understanding of cultural shopping behaviours and how they influence global eCommerce strategies
- Strong data storytelling skills, with the ability to present insights clearly and persuasively to executive stakeholders
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, including the ability to mentor and develop talent
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing content calendars, promotions, and site merchandising strategies aligned to business KPIs
- Expertise in consumer behaviour, site analytics, and conversion optimisation
- Solid understanding of web performance metrics, digital product management, and collaboration with UI/UX, creative, and marketing teams
- Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and leading international projects
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Merchandising, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Flexibility in working hours is required to ensure global team overlap, particularly with PST-based teams
Role & Responsibilities
As Senior Manager, Site Merchandising, you will lead a high-performing team focused on optimising the online customer journey across global markets. Your strategic direction will shape the online experience, ensuring that localisation, compliance, and creativity intersect to inspire and convert shoppers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Championing best-in-class eCommerce practices to elevate the shopper experience across international sites
- Analysing customer behaviours and purchase patterns to identify friction points and tailor experiences accordingly
- Embedding cultural relevance into merchandising and site strategies
- Creating and managing a seasonal content calendar aligned with trading goals
- Owning and delivering high-impact campaigns and product launches
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (marketing, creative, operations, product) to ensure a unified brand presence
- Ensuring local regulatory compliance and cultural fit with support from the localisation team
- Presenting performance insights and recommendations to the Executive Team
- Driving test-and-learn initiatives and identifying new opportunities for digital growth
- Leading and developing a small team of site merchandising professionals with a focus on performance and professional development
- Supporting the VP of eCommerce in defining and executing the international eCommerce roadmap
People Management & Development
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and development planning
- Lead hiring, onboarding, and team engagement initiatives
- Champion diversity, inclusion, and learning culture within the team
