Senior Manager, Group Finance - Study Group UK Ltd : Job Details

Contract Type: Full-time, permanent Location: Brighton - 80% remoteStudy Group is looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Manager for Group Finance. In this role, you will take ownership of the group financial model and play a key role in shaping our financial planning, performance management, and improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will contribute expertise to our M&A activities, ensuring strategic alignment and financial success.ABOUT THE ROLE

• Ownership and user of Multi-year Group Model to:
  • deliver the annual 5-year-plan
  • deliver regular forecast updates (P&L and Liquidity)
  • provide top-down guidance and target-setting for the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
  • provide scenario/Strategic review/what-if/covenant pass analysis
  • provide audit support (going concern)
  • carry out model development for continuous improvement
• Direct input into and creation of Board and ExCo materials and insights
• Support Product, Partner and Strategy effectively and throughout the year e.g. modelling impact of key initiatives, feed into strategy discussions, new business pipeline target tracking
• Review and challenge of wider Finance team deliverables e.g. 'bottom-up’ forecasts Provide external benchmarking and insights for the group
• Project lead on any appropriate corporate group-wide projects
• Modelling for M&A projects and due diligence prep
• Deputise for Head of Group Finance and work independently when needed
• Ad hoc requests/analysis from ExCo/Shareholders/Lenders

ABOUT YOU

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with proven years of PQE
• Able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen and ability to understand commercial terms and business models
• Experience building integrated multi-year models and scenario planning (including P&L, liquidity and covenant models)
• Experience of supporting transactions and due diligence activities
• Experience in an international business and can operate effectively in a matrix-based organisation
• Excellent systems and data skills. Advanced Excel & PowerPoint. Adaptive an advantage
• Private Equity portfolio companies experience an advantage
• Have a proven ability in financial modelling
• Have a proven ability in data extraction, integration, manipulation, and analysis using a range of tools and approaches
• Be comfortable with ambiguity and incomplete information
• Have excellent attention to detail with solid written communication skills
• Be comfortable working across multiple levels, to get involved in the details whilst also communicating effectively to senior stakeholders
