Job Description :

Looking for a commercially minded Senior Management Accountant to join a dynamic creative agency, within a leading global media group.  This role will play a key role in shaping the agency’s financial performance. Reporting directly to both the Finance Director, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys cross-functional collaboration, and is driven by both operational precision and strategic impact.

- Experience working within a creative agency is preferrable to be able to hit the ground running

- This is a 6 month contract with the potential for future long term opportunities within the group at the end of the contract

- Must be able to start within 2 weeks for this role 

- Hybrid working from London offices 

- Up to £65K annual salary pro rata 

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Own the production and analysis of monthly P&L and balance sheet reports

  • Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries and reconciliations

  • Deliver variance analysis and commercial insights to senior leadership

  • Prepare board-level financial packs highlighting trends and key performance areas

  • Ensure timely reporting and submissions to group finance systems

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Collaborate with budget holders to build annual budgets and rolling forecasts

  • Track and analyse spend, advising teams on risks and opportunities

  • Lead revenue forecasting processes in line with contracts and business objectives

Commercial Finance

  • Support account teams on revenue recognition and billing accuracy

  • Assist with client audits and liaise with both internal teams and external auditors

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards

  • Be the go-to for audit queries and financial governance

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor junior finance team members

  • Support ad hoc financial projects and strategic initiatives

  • Deliver finance training sessions to improve financial literacy across the agency

About You:

  • Finalist or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience

  • Strong Excel skills (XLOOKUPs, IF statements, nested formulas, pivot tables, modelling)

  • Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and strong commercial acumen

  • Confident communicator who can build relationships and influence stakeholders

  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities

  • Experience with financial systems like HFM, MediaOcean, or similar tools is a plus
