Senior Corporate Insolvency Administrator

Our client, a well-established firm of Insolvency Practitioners based in the heart of Manchester, is seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Insolvency Administrator to join their growing team. The role involves managing a varied and complex portfolio of corporate insolvency cases, working closely with senior management and partners, and developing strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases, including:
- Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidations (CVLs)
- Administrations
- Compulsory Liquidations
- Company Voluntary Arrangements (CVAs)
- Oversee case progression and ensure compliance with insolvency regulations and statutory requirements
- Prepare relevant documentation, reports, and creditor correspondence
- Manage communications with stakeholders including creditors, directors, solicitors, agents, and the Insolvency Service
- Liaise with accountants, solicitors, and other professionals to assess viability, restructuring, or wind-down options
- Maintain accurate time recording, billing, and case budgets
- Ensure all work complies with internal risk controls, SIPs, and relevant regulatory obligations (IPA, ICAEW, SRA, FCA, etc.)
Person Specification
Essential:
- Minimum 4–5 years’ experience in corporate insolvency
- CPI qualified or equivalent
- Proven case management experience in CVLs, Administrations, and Compulsory Liquidations
- Strong technical knowledge of the Insolvency Act, SIPs, and industry best practice
- Ability to manage multiple cases effectively and oversee junior staff
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in insolvency case management systems (e.g., IPS)
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Desirable:
- JIEB qualified or actively studying
- Experience in contentious insolvency or cross-border appointments
- Involvement in business development or marketing initiatives
Working Conditions:
- Full-time, permanent position
- Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Hybrid working available (subject to agreement)
