Senior Industrial Disease Lawyer - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new companyOur client is a global law firm with offices in over 30 countries. They are currently recruiting an Industrial Disease Senior Lawyer to handle their own caseload of corporate claims. This role is open to their Manchester to Birmingham offices. You may be asked to commute to their Cardiff or Ipswich offices on a regular basis. Your new roleThis Industrial Disease Senior Lawyer role will see you handle your own caseload of disease claims on behalf of international clients. Claims will involve mesothelioma, asbestos related illnesses, NIHL and vibration claims. You will be asked to supervise junior members of the team. Applicants must be willing to get involved in business development and contribute to the strategic development of the team. This role will see you provide strategic and commercial legal advice on disease cases. What you'll need to succeedYou must be a qualified solicitor/CILEx with previous experience handling your own caseload of disease claims with 5+ years PQE. Supervisory experience is required as you will be responsible for the supervision and development of junior team members. Previous experience of asbestos claims is essential, and you must have a strong working knowledge of Pre-Action protocol for Disease and Illness claims and Practice Direction 49B - Mesothelioma Claims. Applicants must have strong academics with a minimum degree result of a 2:1.
