Senior HR Operations and Project Delivery

As the Head of HR Operations and Project Delivery, you will lead the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and compliant HR services that underpin the employee lifecycle. This role is crucial for driving operational excellence, cultural maturity, and continuous improvement across the HR function. You will act as a deputy to the HR Director, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of HR delivery and people management across the organisation through effective project integration.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead and manage the delivery of end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, contractual changes, payroll interface, HR systems, and offboarding.
- Ensure all HR policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks are current, legally sound, and aligned with organisational needs.
- Monitor and manage SLAs and KPIs to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery.
- Support in embedding a culture of broader cross-working and adaptability to change.
- Provide strong, proactive leadership to the HR Operations team, fostering professional growth and a high-performance culture.
- Oversee the effective use and improvement of the HR information system, ensuring data accuracy and insightful reporting.
- Identify and lead on process improvements and HR transformation projects with clear milestones and measurable outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a leadership role within HR, managing high-performing teams in complex or regulated environments.
- Proven track record of delivering HR operations and transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of HR systems, data governance, and payroll interface management.
- In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR policy development.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility and trust at all levels.
- Project management experience (formal qualification desirable).
