HR Advisor

  • Contract Type: Initial 3-month temporary contract with potential to go permanent
  • Salary: Circa £20 per hour
  • Location: SW London
  • Hours: 35 hours per week

We are seeking an HR Advisor to deliver exceptional, responsive, and professional HR advisory services. This role requires credible expertise in Employee Relations (ER) and a proactive approach to HR operations, supporting staff and managers throughout the full employment relations cycle.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on HR policies, procedures, and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Support managers with end-to-end formal case management including sickness absence, performance, disciplinary, grievance, and probation.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to develop strategies for resolution and monitor progress.
  • Oversee HR operations including processing probation, sickness absence, flexible working requests, and amendments to employment contracts.
  • Collaborate with HR Systems & Compliance Advisor and HR Assistant to provide administrative support for HR operations.
  • Review and update HR policies to ensure alignment with current legislation and best practices.
  • Utilize expertise in ER to deliver a proactive and customer-focused service.
  • Act as a Level 1 User for our Home Office Sponsor Licence, advising on right to work compliance.
  • Support the HR Business Partner in undertaking HR projects and optimizing HR Information Systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • CIPD qualified or currently undertaking an HR qualification.
  • Extensive experience in managing complex ER cases and providing HR advisory services in a fast-moving organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including support to managers and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage HR projects and deliver process improvements.
  • Strong understanding of HR compliance, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience using HRIS and absence management systems.
  • Line management or supervisory experience, preferably in the healthcare sector or a similar regulated environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced data analysis skills, with experience in generating insights from HR metrics.
