HR Advisor (Employee Relations)

Salary: £36,000- £39,000 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week, (Term time only may be considered)

Working model: Hybrid, 2 days working from home

Role type: Permanent

Location: Education, Warwickshire (travel across various sites required)

About the role:

Macildowie are recruiting on behalf of an Education organisation in Warwickshire who are looking for an experienced HR Advisor with a flair for ER to join their values led organisation. In this role you will offer guidance to managers and employees on all Employee Relations matters and will play a key role in working with the HR and wider team to promote an inclusive, fair and positive work place environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and harassment, up to and including employment tribunal
  • Provide advice to managers and employees on all ER matters
  • Review and update HR policies to ensure they are legally compliant and align with best practice
  • Analyse ER case data to identify trends and inform proactive decision- making
  • Deliver training to managers to upskill the workforce in handling ER matters
  • Work with a HR system to produce accurate, timely reports
  • Work collaboratively with the HR team and wider colleagues to promote a positive, values led organisation

Essential Criteria

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification
  • Proven experience handling complex ER matters in a workplace environment
  • Strong Knowledge of employment law, HR policies and conflict resolution techniques
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Experience working with HR systems
  • Strong Communication skills

Desirable experience:

  • Experience in a similar setting or public sector
  • Has had exposure to unionised environments
