Job Description :

Senior Health & Safety Advisor - London based (Waltham Cross EN9 )- £60,000pa - £70,000pa plus excellent company benefits.

To advise and assist the divisional leads in the planning, organising, controlling and maintaining of a safe and healthy environment for all employees and establish objectives and targets to aid continuous improvement to support the development and delivery of strategic objectives.

To ensure compliance with all HSE legal obligations and with Company policy. Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Manage all aspects of safety within the company and project activities.

Manage and maintain all HSQE KPI's.

Day-to-day operational compliance to ISO9001, 14001 and 45001 including.

Producing and carrying out internal EHS/Q audits and setting program.

Produce H&S Inspection program on sites & individuals.

Deputies and or chair the monthly EHS Group meeting and produce minutes, follow up actions on others and close out.

Produce EHS and Q Briefings.

Undertake HSQE site inspection as programmed.

HSQE support for Project & Site Managers.

Conduct employee HSQE induction.

Assist departments in the creation and implementation of procedures to ensure company compliance with regulatory requirements.

Continually identify and diagnose where compliance is required across the company.

Responsible for compiling and authorising the Business task specific Risk Assessments.

Completion of supplier assessment packs (HSQE sections).

Undertake 'Business Development' Activities as directed.

Role will include travel as required by individual contracts and may include office, site or home-based work and national travel.

To work with and assist the EHS lead in the definition and delivery of the EHS roadmap, ensuring adherence to plan and providing status reports up to Board level.

Provide information, instruction and training to enhance overall EHS performance and engagement, to managers, teams and individuals as required, including inductions for new employees and instruction on Health and Safety standards.

Skills & Experience required:

Minimum of 5 years' Experience in Construction, Rail and Highways (Street-working). Certified in Health and Safety, min level - NEBOSH General, NEBOSH Construction and NEBOSH Fire (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent). Certified in Auditing, min level - Internal Auditor ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 and or 45001:2018. Sentinel Card Holder, ICI and PTS requirements. CSCS Card Holder to the necessary levels required. Level 3 Teaching Qualifications as a minimum. (Higher Preferred).Proficient in FORS, RISQS, Safe contractor and Constructionline. Asbestos Awareness required. Experience of Working at Height and Confined Space required. Experience in a management position
