Description

In this busy and varied Senior Finance Officer role based in Bradford, roles and responsibilities will include;

  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with financial legislation and standards
  • Partner with external stakeholders to provide a first-class financial service, assessing both opportunities and risks
  • Provide financial insight and advice to the management team.
  • Develop and implement effective financial policies and procedures
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and statements.
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making at management level

Profile

A successful Senior Finance Officer should have:

  • Newly qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in management accounting and financial reporting
  • Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Sector experience in education or non-profit is a plus, but not essential
  • Detail oriented and analytical
