Senior Finance Manager

Elevation has just picked up a fantastic opportunity for someone to step into a senior finance role with a cause. We’re looking for someone who can bring clarity, confidence, and leadership to a complex public sector environment – someone who knows that good financial management isn’t just about balancing the books, but about enabling services and shaping outcomes that people rely on every day.

You’ll be working closely with senior leaders, helping them navigate the big decisions that determine how resources are planned and delivered. It’s a role with real influence: you’ll provide strategic advice, keep long-term financial plans on track, and make sure decisions are transparent and well-governed.

Just as important, you’ll be leading a talented team. You’ll support their development, build resilience, and create the kind of environment where people feel confident to perform at their best. Collaboration will be central – you’ll work with colleagues across the organisation, with elected members, and with partners outside too. It’s about bringing people together, translating financial complexity into something clear and practical, and making sure everyone has the information they need to move forward with confidence.

This is a senior leadership role, so you’ll need a professional accountancy qualification, experience at a senior level, and the ability to think strategically. Just as importantly, you’ll need the judgement, integrity, and communication skills to earn trust quickly and to influence decisions that affect the whole organisation.
