SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER – TECHNOLOGY BUSINESS

READING – 2 DAYS OFFICE / 3 DAYS HOME – PERMANENT

£70,000 - £80,000

We’re hiring a Senior Finance Manager to play a key role in financial reporting, management accounts, and partnering with operational teams. This position will suit a qualified accountant with experience in fast-paced or scale-up environments, who thrives on variety and the challenge of improving processes.

THE ROLE

  • Prepare / compile monthly group and entity management accounts / financial statements.
  • Review journal entries ensuring they are accurate and correctly posted.
  • Manage monthly close schedule.
  • Co-ordinate the compilation of monthly commentary to accompany management accounts, contributing as necessary.
  • Oversee the preparation of and review/approve all balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Act as a senior finance business partner to operational teams, providing data-driven advice and financial support.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis, reports, metrics and commentary.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process by FP&A, working collaboratively with department heads.
  • Participate in continued development and evaluation of internal controls and processes, in accordance with best practices.
  • Support the preparation of statutory accounts by providing requested information and support.
  • Support Finance’s continuous improvement activity as required.
  • Lead the internal & external audit processes, ensuring timely completion of year-end reporting.
  • Prepare for and attend audit planning meetings, ensuring that audit issues are identified and appropriately discussed.
  • Prepare and supervise preparation of audit working papers for the internal and external audits, including agreeing format of working papers and other audit requirements.

YOUR PROFILE

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
  • Effective communicator with stakeholders, ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders & build trusted relationships.
  • Able to work proactively and independently with a team in a fast- paced environment and produce quality output under tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, prioritisation skill and time management.
  • Delivery orientated - able to set own goals/targets.
  • Strong analytical skills & attention to detail.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Comfortable in an informal team environment.

Salary : 70000 - 80000
