Senior Finance Manager | Kent / hybrid | Competitive Salary + excellent benefits package

Our client, a global manufacturing business, are looking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager to join their Kent based team in a varied and pivotal role, supporting the UK Financial Controller. Managing a small team and focussing on the delivery of key financial information, budgeting and forecasting and continued improvement of processes and controls, this individual will be pro-active and balance both strong technical and broader finance experience.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Development of robust forecasting process, including Budget and Plan
  • Review of Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash flow, and FX
  • Reporting on Risks & Opportunities and key Initiatives to deliver
  • Support the Management Team with information, analysis & guidance to allow strong Financial Control
  • Oversee and manage the team, including AP and AR and GL and ensure delivery of all Financial elements
  • To take responsibility for accurate financial reporting to strict deadlines; input into the
  • budget/forecast process
  • To liaise with external and internal auditors to ensure robust processes and respond with
  • required data requests
  • Ensure the site is SOX compliant
  • Assist with maintaining and continuously developing accurate and timely reporting systems
  • which meaningfully analyse and interpret the financial performance of the UK business
  • Work to improve the Site’s Working Capital Cycle
  • Support the preparation of Capital Project Proposals
  • Supervision of 3 staff
  • Liaison with Finance Shared Service Centre

Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA with several years PQE
  • Strong compliance skillset
  • Good level of excel skills
  • Experience in forecast modelling
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of VAT return preparation
  • Good experience of Financial reporting in a multinational company environment
  • Good understanding of all areas of P&L and Balance sheet
  • Ability to understand, evaluate and implement improvements in current processes
  • Clear communicator with the ability to build strong relationships business wide
  • Comfortable working with financial and non-financial personnel
  • Excellent team player with flexible attitude
