Senior Finance Business Partner - Resource Solutions : Job Details

Job Title: Senior Financial Business PartnerLocation: London (Hybrid)Role Objective:To support the production and analysis of financial reporting within the Group. The role will play a key role in ensuring that the analysis and commentary produced ensures that management and leadership teams are kept informed about financial performance/risks.Our Aspen Values are expected to be reflected in the delivery and performance of every role.Key Responsibilities:Strategy and Planning:

• Prepare and present financial analysis to support commercial decision making
• Support the delivery of quarterly financial information
• Assist with finance projects relating to the improvement of processes or strategic initiatives
• Demonstrates awareness and understanding of Aspen and segment's strategy and FP&A activities through effective judgement and analysis

Policy, Process and Procedures:

• Supports the implementation of the Finance strategy to enable delivery of overall business targets
• Assist in various aspects of production and analysis of the Groups internal MI
• Assist with financial close process in order to meet reporting deadlines
• Responsible for identifying improvement opportunities and designing and implementing associated enhancements

Environmental Awareness/Customer Focus:

• Establishes, strengthens and develops relationships with stakeholders to support their needs, maximise influence, and achieve business objectives
• Collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders across Underwriting lines of business, Group Finance, Segment Finance, Reserving, Pricing, Outwards Reinsurance Accounting, Investments and Strategy

Technical Performance:

• Assist in the preparation of detailed analysis of the Group result with informed commentary which explains the key drivers and how these relate to the performance of the business
• Produces reports, analyses and management information to inform decision making and to notify management/ leadership teams in respect of financial performance

Requirements & Skills:

• 5 years post-qualification experience within the (re)insurance industry
• Experience working with data to provide insight and analysis
• Strong fundamentals of Insurance accounting from previous experience
• Strong knowledge of the (Re)insurance industry
• Internationally recognized accounting designation (CA, ACA, CPA or equivalent)
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of US GAAP reporting
• Proactive, self-motivated with a team orientation
• Strong work ethic and high energy who strives for excellence
• Technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel is essential
• Experience with data analytics and data visualisation tools preferred
