Halliday Marx have partnered with a well known Media business to hire a Senior Finance Analyst on an interim basis for 9 months.
Responsibilities
- Produce consolidated monthly and quarterly management reporting across the commercial Group, ensuring accurate actuals and forecasts in SAP BPC.
- Act as a key liaison between Commercial, Group Finance, technical teams, and stakeholders, resolving consolidation queries and system issues.
- Validate and manage core data loads across reporting systems, maintaining accuracy and completeness.
- Lead training initiatives, develop guidance, and promote best practices for BPC and SAC users.
- Deliver clear, insightful management reporting for Executive Committee and Board discussions, with recommendations grounded in commercial awareness.
- Analyse trends, risks, and opportunities to inform decisions, linking historical performance to full-year forecasts.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support strategy, business cases, and group-wide decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, data literacy, and use of technology to enable more value-add insights.
- Oversee controls in management accounting, including ICFR and EMC compliance, particularly on balance sheets.
- Collaborate across divisions, consolidating and challenging inputs, while clearly communicating key messages to financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Own system processes (SAP S/4, BPC, SAC), supporting data integrity, system enhancements, UAT, disaster recovery testing, and audit readiness.
- Build relationships with stakeholders, auditors, and external providers, ensuring smooth communication, issue resolution, and compliance.
Requirements
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- SAP experience is crucial
- Outstanding business partnering skills
