Senior Export/Import Operations Clerk - Heathrow Personnel : Job Details

Are you an experienced freight forwarder looking to take the next step in your logistics career? Our client is seeking a Senior Exports/Imports Operations Clerk to join their team based in Gatwick.

• Responding to customer calls and handling enquiries professionally
• Preparing accurate quotations for shipments
• Processing both export and import jobs across Air, Road, and Ocean freight
• Liaising with carriers, hauliers, contractors, and internal departments
• Managing job costing and raising invoices
• Occasionally supporting warehouse operations when required
• Taking full ownership of your desk, ensuring smooth and efficient operations

• Proven experience in freight forwarding (Export, Import, Air, Road, Ocean & Customs operations)
• Experience handling Dangerous Goods or Restricted/Defence Goods is highly desirable
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships
• Proficient in IT systems and freight software
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Type: Full-time, office-based

Salary: Up to £35,000 (depending on experience)
